Concert for Maria’s Care School in Uganda

Evergreens celebrate a great year with a Christmas Party

The Evergreens held their Christmas Party at Wesley and invited their husbands and friends. This year they invited the “HELPERS “from Wesley, who man the kitchen and run the raffle when they hold their concerts. Messy Church December

After a slow start the Messy Church on the 3rd  Saturday of each month is growing.After practical games and activities the children enjoyed either fruit kebabs or Sausage rolls.

Full house at Evergreen’s Concert

Extra Celebrations at our Carol Service

  There were extra celebrations at our Carol Service on Sunday when we also celebrated the Diamond wedding anniversary of Jean and George Evans. After the service the congregation moved to the Best Room for coffee and mince pies, a picture shows the Evergreens wishing Jean and George Happy Anniversary in song.


Full House to celebrate 90th Birthday

The Best room was full of guests at a lunch to celebrate the 90th birthday of one of the church’s most loved members, Mavis Dodd. Family and friends joined her in a 3 course lunch, and were entertained with musical items by her great nephews and niece.


Evergreens and Wesley Valentine Concert

The Evergreens again came to Wesley to perform a concert with a Valentine theme. Even with problems with the Church heating everyone appeared to enjoy the concert.  Wesley ladies also helped with the raffle and refreshments. Rotary District 1280 again held their Annual Music Competition at Wesley on Saturday the 31st of January. Rotary wrap 200 Christmas parcels at Wesley

The Rotary Club of Irlam used Wesley to wrap 200 Christmas Parcels for distribution to deserving residents in Irlam Cadishead and Rixton. Contributions from the Scouts and Guides, money from the Christmas Float collection and a generous donation from Kingsland Drinks ensured that each parcel was full of Christmas cheer.


Lest we forget

The Evergreens held a World War 1 concert and afternoon team on the 1st of November. Wesley was full again for this concert. Annual Christian Aid Concert

  Once again, Wesley invited Irlam Male Voice Choir to entertain us with a selection of their repertoire to raise funds for Christian Aid, rather than doing a house to house collection. Refreshments included coffee and cakes and a good time was had by all.
